what is the best offset i should get for my car 89 gxl

Stock offset is +38mm. The best offset would be +35mm down to +30mm. The lower the # of the offset, like +30, the more the wheels will stick outwards. If you go the other way, say +40 or +42mm offset, your wheels will tuck into the car more.
