my former half bridge, im considering reusing it (only because it has less thatn 4k miles on it) and need to know what springs i need for it.

and on topic of the original thread, when i disassembled the motor it only had one apex spring in it if that helps.

You can use just 1 spring, though some people (I, for one) use both springs even for the two peice. To wire the s5 afm for a s4 (although it's not a very good idea, the s4 flows better, it just can't be mounted in any direction) You have to first get a connector for the s5 AFM, then splice in all the connections in the appropriate spot. If you search for swap air flow meter you should find a diagram of how to do it.

I dont think that seal will take 2 springs, because it doesnt have the inner set of ridges to keep it from moving around, which is why i think its a hurley. 2 springs of differnt size and length is generally better because it has 2 harmonic frequencys, thus if one set hits harmonics, the other set is still working. This is why boingers use duel springs on the valves. I'd guess this same principal holds true on the rotary, probably to help stop the chatter marks from steel seals.
