nah, like i said the stock location is probably the most accurate but it is also hotter so the wideband is put to more abuse there. do not wire it into the stock ECU, narrowband sensor switch rapidly which is how the ECU interprets whether the air fuel ratio is stoich or not, the more crosses the ECU reads past .5volts the closer the AFR is to stoich(14.7:1) according to the narrowband, thw wideband puts out a steady voltage indicating stoich being .5volts without crossing rapidly so the ECU would interpret it as a faulty sensor and disregard the signal.

If he has 2 analog outputs, one would be the 0 - 5V wideband, and one the 0 -1V narrowband. If so, shouldn't he be able to wire his narrowband into the ECU?

it depends how the narrowband output is sent, like i said about our dummy narrowbands they switch accross .5volts rapidly and the crosses is what the ECU counts so if the wideband in narrowband is only putting out a steady voltage of rich closer to .1v, stoich .5v or lean .9v then the ECU thinks the sensor is dead and uses default programming for closed loop operation and sets a code and disregards the sensor. you will just have to find out how the narrowband output signal looks like, if it is an analog or even digital wave that switches rapidly when stoich then it should work fine.
