What is this

Its connected to my Clutch master cylinder and its pretty close to the Oil filter. Its leaking and causing my clutch fluid to run out and my pedal keeps dropping to the floor. I think its a Clutch slave cylinder but i'm not sure.

Yes, it sounds like you're talking about the slave.

rebuild kits for both cylinders are pretty cheap at AutoZone or O'Reilly's. rebuild both while you're at it. also check the hose. Mazdatrix has a braided steel hose that's cheaper than the OEM hose.

Tokico makes a great replacement slave cylinder that isn't that pricey. Or, for 2 bucks you can get a working one from the junk yard as they are small enough to fit in your pocket.

Whichever route you go, it's a pretty cheap fix vs being stranded somewhere without a clutch (as in 'been there, done that'). I got my reuild kits at O'Reilly's and were round $7 or $8 apiece. I think the braided hose from Mazdatrix was around $20. After you fix it, I also recommend keeping some brake fluid in the car for a few days until you are sure it's not leaking anywhere. a slight leak can be temporarily remodied by topping off the resevoir until you get it home (again... voice of experience. rebuilt the cylinders, then discovered the leaky hose )

Thanks guys I bought a new slave cylinder for $23. And then bought the hose for $30. I wish I got the Mazda trix one but I had to get my car running and couldn't wait for shipping. But later on I'm gonna get that Mazdatrix hose.

I'd rather just get a new slave clyinder, what happens a lot is when they leak air gets in and rusts the cylinder and then the hydraulic fluid eats through it so it doesn't stay the original bore size for the rebuild kit to work.
