its black and it says mitsubishi N374. then it has this other numbers k8t11375. ill try to take a pic. also it is taping into one of the the plugs that go to the ecu, not the engine harness.

It is not uncommon for Japanese manufactures to use parts from another manufacture. For example Nissans often have Denso (Nippondenso) parts in them, yet Nippondenso is one of the Toyota suppliers.
Mitzu is a big manufacture of industrial equipment in Japan. They build 50% of the alternators in Japan for all sorts of manufactures.
You guys do understand that just because a car is made by a manufacture (like Mazda) that they don't make about 50% of the car... that about 50% of the car is made by subcontractors and suppliers... right? You guys understand that... right?
For example Mazda doesn't make the CPU (the body computer) it is made by the same company that makes a bunch of the switches... Imansen.
its one of the body electrical components, factory amp, CPU. i wouldn't worry about it. you do need it however.
half the components and sensors in this car dont say mazda so that should not be a concern. my advice is take your time and label every sensor or plug you remove well. it will save you tons of time in the long run when its time to re wire.
