What The???

ok what does it mean when you try to flush the cooling system and it seems like somethig is blockin in the motor? and nothing will come out> and it will start sometimes but it shoots out dark brown watter out the radiator and a little bit of smoke? and builds ALOT of pressure on the hoses and it starts to over heat in like 5 min. and at that rare time you do get it to run, and try to drive it, it barelly goes NO POWER does anyone know whats going on?....oh yea and it doesnt seem like there is any watter in the oil either

it kinda seems like there is something blocking it in the watter ports on the motor cuz no matter how much watter presure i put on it to flush it nothing will come out the other side..IM STUMPED??

Next time try a real title for your thread, and you may get responses.

And you bump has been deleted. Bumps are forbidden here in the 2nd gen RX-7 technical section.

And water pressure you are putting in???? why and how are you putting water pressure in????

And it sounds like you have a blown motor if you are low on power and the car overheats

If you're spitting out brown water, that is a very bad sign. How exactly are you flushing it? You should undo the drain plugs and gravity does the rest. Also, some history on the engine. Was it sitting for a long time, or something?

blown motor?

oh....sorry about that icemark

yea im preety sure its blown now cuz icemark isnt the first to tell me that, but i was recomended to use the block sealer stuff and i was gonna try that today cuz i figured what the heck its not gonna hurt anything if its already blown but i couldnt flush it in the first place to start the process

what i did is i stuck the hose in the radiator and pulled the return hose from the watter pump off and kinked it so it would have to go all the way threw the radiator and the motor but when i did that it seemed like it was blocked cuz it wouldnt flush threw at ALL! nothin came out the other side and it built up so much presure i couldnt hole the hose to the radiator...anybody know whats goin on?

Ummm, if I read it right, then your "blockage" is the water pump. I've never heard of useing that method to see if there is a blockage.
From what you said, it sounds like you likely have a bad coolant seal, plus possibly rust damage. Was this engine sitting for a long time? If so, coolant could have leaked into the engine and sat there rusting it out. It also could be a rusty radiator from sitting a long time.

actually with what he described, I would say the thermostat is the blockage.

Needs to be warm to circulate the coolant

Ok, ive had this problem before with a friends car, and i told him these exact words.

1st. Do you have 600$-2000$ to spend on maintenence?
2nd. If no to 1st, concider selling your car.
If Yes, First check the radiator fluid that is coming out, and make sure there isnt an oil slick on top of it after it settles. If there is your engine needs a rebuild or you need to swap it with a used one, both of wich cost about 2000$ to get done correctly. If not, get a local Mechanic to change your water pump, thermostat, coolant lines with high pref. silicone so they wont get brittle and crack, and then after all that work, realize your radiator is mostlikely the culpret because of the condensed and crammed sediment at the bottom of it, so you might as well get a new radiator as well.
3rd. Drive to your hearts content, and keep your coolant topped off.

depends what RX_T2 is using to flush with. straight water or with a flushing agent?

old coolant sometimes turns orange or brown, just means it's old.

Very true, Also, dont forget to replace your fluids every 40K Miles! ( Coolant, Brake Fluid, Trans Oil, Shifter Oil, Rear Diff Oil ( Can be put off if you dont go all out on your car, but if you have a LSD, every 40 K Miles) )
