Angry well my gaskets weren't what was causing this oil leak on the turbo!

Just yanked the turbo off and found the oil leak that I posted comming from under the turbo is not the gaskets at all, the oil leak is comming from the hotside of the turbo Damnit this is not what I wanted to see. Anyone have any ideas what it could be. I'm going to contact a few people in a second including bryan with bnr to see what he thinks. I will post pics in a sec. Thanks for any help yall can give.

Does it just leak or blow/burn oil as well?

does both. My car never used to smoke and now it smokes horribly! Like I said I've had a hand full of turbos on this car and this one is just horrible, I mean it leaks out of the hotside plus so much smoking it looks like a smoke screen. At first when you start the car it's not to bad but afterwards when warmed up it gets really bad.

Ive seen this a lot with rebuilt turbos, I had a shop in nashville build about 10 in a row with one defect or another, about 6 of them included this one. Usually they smoke out the tailpipe in conjunction with this leakage. Im told it's a "piston ring/seal" that is the culprit. I'd like to know more about it myself.

It seems the only way to get a bulletproof turbo these days is to go with a new or near OEM version, or a new in box aftermarket (such as a greddy t78, etc.). Custom assembled and rebuilt turbos never seem right, IMO.

damn! well I guess It's all up to bnr now to see what he is going to do, if anything at all. Well this just sucks dick! I have always wanted a bnr upgrade and this is what I get. I'm starting to see what you are saying more and more kevin. I was wondering if somthing fishy was going on with this turbo when I saw the bnr thing in the good guy bad guy section but now this just kind of reafirms my worst fears. I've heard bryan will work with you and is a pretty nice guy so hopefully he will be cool and fix it. I don't know.

bnr should take care of it, call Brian and i'm sure he will tell you to send back so he can inspect it. i wouldn't clean any of the oil off or anything though, makes it easier for them to diagnose.

so you think I should clean it? I was thinking if he would take it back just leave it exactly how it is so he could see what is going on.

no not yet I have to pull the manifold off and take a look. I pull the turbo and manifold out as one, I've found this makes it much easier than pulling them off serperately. I'll unbolt it in a little while and take some pics.
