Well, after two months...

....three bad injector connectors, bad plugs, bad plug wires, needing a boost gauge and now a blown clutch master cylinder (takin' care of that tomorrow), my SC FC is able to redline. It's been a hell of a long time coming (school isn't really going too well with the whole ordeal), but the car can finally pull to redline. Now I just need to throw in a new clutch master cylinder and hit the dyno.

Here's a video with the car sitting in the garage. Yeah I know it's blowing out the honeycomb in my single cat right now, but I just don't give a damn!!!

http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4287377813

It's the fourth video.

Wow, that thing sure does idle pretty high! Does the SC drag that much at idle that you can't lower it any? Or is that just a drivability thing Camden suggests?

Under normal driving, the car doesn't enjoy anything below 1200. The car can idle at 1000, but when it's cold it'll be prone to dying after you rev it a bit. Surprisingly i've managed to get used to the high idle, although everyone does get freaked out about it.

Wow, it just concerns me because now you really can't adjust your timing or anything because the ECU goes and does its thing over 1k rpm, so I just find that a bit strange. Oh well though, definatly sounds killer! Mine has a bit of a different whine to it, but that sound just sends the shivvers down your spine wanting to take it to the local track. Haha, good luck!

Thanks, man. One more day and I'll have a driving video. I'm going to have to run the car for a while to make sure everything holds up, then it's going to be a set of coilovers, a change of tires and it'll be ready for next season.

I'm going to work my *** off to get a full ride (or at least a good scholarship), that way I can have some funds for an SC 20B (well, my ideas always change).

Wow, I really like the sound of your exhaust, sounds pretty sweet man. Do you have the TII?

If you go with a SC 20b, use a whipple 3300, that would be a killer setup. If I could afford it, I'd definatly jump all over that. I did manage to get a gtech comparison of before and after my SC setup, and at 7psi (when i was using an FD crank pulley) it was showing me a 80hp increase, can't wait to try it out once i spin that thing a little closer to redline. Can't wait to see the #'s on the camden, it's such a weird feeling compared to the turbo cars, you just don't expect the flat curve and for it to pull like it does. Oh well, enough rambling, you'll see.

Nope, it's an NA with a RB header, Mazdatrix 2.5" single cat, and an HKS sport catback.

I would be doing quite a bit of custom fabrication for that project, so I can't imagine using a whipple would cost too much extra.

I was told by Gary that he got sent a dyno sheet from a guy who made 205rwhp with:

stock cats+aftermarket catback
6psi pulley
stock fuel system
SAFC-II

I'm running:
Full exhaust
8psi pulley
Walbro 255 and 760cc secondaries
SAFC-II

So, I conclude that I'll make over 200rwhp with ease, even considering that I have to run on the California urine 91 octane supreme...
