Well if you have to open the motor you should change at the very least, all the soft seals.

When you have it open, I would definately check the housing for damage.

What are you even asking?

What does "apex seals collapse" mean?

It's very difficult to understand your question the way it is worded.

My guess is that the stand fell over and the engine landed on its side, causing one of the rotors to crush one of the apex seals? It's out there, but not the craziest thing i've heard.

This one time, in the locker room... not right now...

Umm... how do you know it "collaspe"? and in order to change the apex seal spring, you have to tear the motor completely apart. AKA a rebuild. The bare minimum is apex seal springs and a soft seals kit, and that is if you don't have any damage. Plus, you definitely will need someone else to rebuild it.

So you looked into the exhaust ports at the apex seals, or what? Do you know what a good one is supposed to look like? They will rise up from the rotor tip by only about 1mm, and spring back when pressed in with your finger. Look for any dents that might be in the metal, and do a compression test. If the seals are stuck or "collapsed" (is that what you mean?), then you'll lose compression in 2-3 chambers.

my and one of my buddies were looking at it and when we checked the front rotor you can push the apex seal and it has tension on all side.but when you do it to the rear the apex seal has no tension my buddy check it and the housing doesnt seem to have any scratches he compared it to the front housing.oh and yes we are looking at it through the exhaust ports.

dropping it would not cause that, the apex seal goes through a lot more shock and pressure differentiation while running at 5k rpm then it would see falling off a stand. Search the forum for methods to free up stuck apex seals.

Does the apex seal still move in and out if you push on it? If so, it's fine. Centrifugal force pushes them against the housing in operation, not spring tension.

did you get at least the soft seal kit so you can put the engine back together?

Blah! How in the hell did that happen?!

My guess is that the rotor with the destroyed springs was running way lean. You may have a bad injector so I hope you didn't mix them up upon disssembly. Send them all out to be tested and cleaned.
