Welding a vlsd

My vlsd is so horrible now it wont lock where are the spider gears on it to weld?

I've already weighed the pros and cons of this i rarely drive it on the street and am going to weld it just need to know where the spider gears are, are they in the little holes in the pumpkin?

I dont need people telling me dont do it. Is this where you weld do i fill in all these holes as i rotate it around?

compared to a welded open diff, that isnt much contact area to weld. Though someone else had that question and posted it up before and wasnt really sure.

Its a turbo viscous. Can't get an open diff won't match my drive shaft and axles

I took it apart today inside the pumpkin were the spider gears and my friend is welding he is certified he mig welded it its not going anywhere was quite hard to hold all 4 pieces together with your hands though and trying to make sure both ends where you put the half shafts in are completely level so your axles dont move as much. Also a ton of shims is that normal probably like 6 total?

A photo of what was welded inside the pumpkin this just slides back in the casing. Drifted on it today and it locked amazing was so predictable. Also ignore all the little metal ***** everywhere mig welding is pretty messy i chipped them all of afterwards

Those welds like look garbage, a blind monkey on a MIG could have done better.

A welder's weld is their signature.
