Welcome me aboard, just got GXL, but something is wrong HELP PLEASE!

88 GXL NA fully loaded- I think its the 3800 hesitation thing, cause in any gear when im driving it hits exactly 3800 and like bogs, cuts out, makes no power, or whatever you want to call it. so i cant take it over 4 grand. it pisses me off, I want to see what she can do. THe thing that questions me is how come when i push the clutch in, or rev it in nuetral it will rev up well past 3800 without a miss? I hope this is a simple fix. Thanks alot. OH, and I love this thing already.

I'd say your secondary injectors are not comming on at all. otherwise it would just stumble but continue to go to redline. probably an electric problem.

Could it be his ignition? Like his trailing coils? I dunno, just a suggestion.

My problem was just the electrical connection right by the injector, it was a little loose and that cured it. Also try re-grounding all the grounds in the engine bay.

what about this though

Ok the injectors sound very guilty, but heres my new question, if its those injectors, then why does it rev up pretty normal if the car's in nuetral, or if the clutch is in?

Revs good in neutral because there is no load on the engine.
