Thumbs down weird starting problem. low idle shut off

so lately, whenever i start my car, it will start up normally and then after like 2-3 seconds the idle will drop so low that the car shuts off, and i have to try again while pulsing the throttle to keep the car running. after about 10 seconds it will hold a steady idle around 6-700

Are you having this problem hot or cold? Do you still have BACV and cold idle thermowax?

Sorry it took so long to get back. Mine is not street ported, but i was reading up on BAC and that might your problem. Mine hasn't overheated but has other symptoms of a faulty BAC.

Does yours stall/shut off if you turn your wheel all the way to 1 direction?

Many reasons. Compression loss, warped housings/irons, coolant in combustion etc.

If you're gauge only reads 160 I'd be questioning the accuracy of your gauge/sensor setup.

yeah i'm not sure if its reading correctly.. but the sensor is hooked up to the stock location, so i don't know what could be going on, maybe the sensor needs to be replaced?
