weird starting problem. low idle shut off
so lately, whenever i start my car, it will start up normally and then after like 2-3 seconds the idle will drop so low that the car shuts off, and i have to try again while pulsing the throttle to keep the car running. after about 10 seconds it will hold a steady idle around 6-700

what the hell is wrong?

I have the same problem! Im guessing you already checked your alternator and battery?

Did the car overheat recently?

Did you check the BAC?

I got the same problem and i did recently overheated for a bit, but took care of the overheating.
|
why does overheating make it turn off like that?
|
Are you having this problem hot or cold? Do you still have BACV and cold idle thermowax?
|
Sorry it took so long to get back. Mine is not street ported, but i was reading up on BAC and that might your problem. Mine hasn't overheated but has other symptoms of a faulty BAC.
Does yours stall/shut off if you turn your wheel all the way to 1 direction? |

If you're gauge only reads 160 I'd be questioning the accuracy of your gauge/sensor setup. |

Many reasons. Compression loss, warped housings/irons, coolant in combustion etc.
