Weird Shiat!

I just installed a new MBC, and amungst installing it I ripped out the cold start assist, and the charcol canister. Once I had everything back hooked up. I went to start the car and it rev'd up to 1500rpms, and then died. I tried this several times before I finally got it to idle for about 5 min or so, but as soon as I touched the gas pedal the car died. Once again I kept firing it up, but every time I hit the gas pedal it kept dying!

So I decided to put the charcol canister back in, and I got it to idle a bit longer, but still the same thing kept happening. Now it's being a bitch just to keep it idling without it dying. Oh and the stock boost gauge will sit at "0" once the car dies, but it sit at the bottom when idling. This wasn't a problem before I worked on the car today...... So any suggestions on WTF is going on???Cause now I'm tired and frustrated, and want to start with a clear mind tommorow. Any ideas would be awesome, thanks!

Oh I forgot to mention that it smelled like the car was flooding on me, due to the smell of gas. Oh and the A/F gauge reads rich on start-up then slowly runs down to lean, and then dies, if that helps?

by cold start do you mean the AWS, or the bottle of coolant??

when you remove the bottle. you have to block the lines going to the manifold. you can't just cut them. other wise it's a big vac leak.

As soon as I read this I thought "He didn't plug the AFM back in..."

That's exactly what it's supposed to do. The manifold vacuum when idling is actually well below the bottom of the scale (~400mmHg), but when the engine's not running it'll be zero (atmospheric) because there's no vacuum (obviously).
When the ignition's off it sits at the bottom (instead of zero) because there's no power to the gauge.
