weird problem after porting wastegate

ok, i didn't want to disinagrate my turbo or motor from boosting 16-17 psi so i desided to port my stock series 4 turbo wastegate. i never had any fuel cut or detonation or anything, as soon as the turbo would spool up under wot, it would hit 16 -17 psi and stay there until i shifted or let off. i ported it to 11/16", put everything back together and now it works great at keeping the pressure down, but at about 11 psi in 2-3-4 gears the car just cuts out. it doesn't seem like lack of fuel, but i'm scared to blow it up.

(detonation)

anyone shed some light on this, please. thanks

You tried reseting the EVC?&nbsp I think that's a "fuzzy logic" version, so it needs to relearn the boost curve again...

You may need to disconnect its power. Just turning it off won't reset it.

there is a reset procedure and i also had it totally disconnected so i will try it out.

what i meant about having it off, after it cut-out or detonated, i turned the boost controller off and it still did it. it is suppose to revert back to stock wastegate operation when off.

If your custom TID is made out of rubber it will collapse and choke the engine. This was happening to mine not too long ago and it was pissing me off for 3 months.

Try using hard plastic or metal piping.
