Question Weird issue after new clutch install.

I have a 87NA. I put a new clutch/pressure plate/TOB, and PB in this past weekend. I have been gentle with the new clutch. When I am driving the car will all of a sudden start to buck and act as if it is going to stall. This happens randomly and speed doesnt seem to be a real issue. The only things I remember unplugging to pull the tranny was the tranns connections and the O2 sensor. Now I did notie when I was putting the tranny back in that there was a smashes wire going to this little black thing on about a six inch wire. It had a hole in it for mounting, but I didnt remember it being on anything when I pulled the tranny. It plugs into the same lower wires the tranny plugs go to. Before the install of the new parts the only issue I was having was the old clutch slipping. I was careful installing the tranny back in the car and mad sure the input shaft lined up good at the pilot bearing. I am just confused on this.

Also noticed while I had thing out that the 5th and 6th ports seem to be froze up.
I emaled Keven Landers on that. I have another LIM that I can put on that the 5th and 6th ports move freely. Its still on my other motor I plan to rebuld in a few months.

If you rotar head can maybe help point me in a logical direction it would be much appreaciated.

Thanks in advance.

That little black thing that you smashed is most likely the resistor/capacitator for the oil pressure gauge. It should not have anything to do with your bucking issue. It bolts to the slave BTW. I would pull the codes and see what's up first.

well the oil guage use to peg all the way, never could figure that out. Sitting at 0 now so I guess that little black thing was the culprit. None the less I have another oil guage now. Thanks for the input.
