Weird idleing problem.....
I just got my FC two days ago. It's an 90NA. I have notice that when it idles, it's really weak, sometimes it even die on me. This only happen when the engine is warm (cold start is fine).
well, as i was playing around with it, i find that the idle only has problem when the fan is off. If i turn on the fan (not with the AC, just the fan), the car idles fine. But as soon as i turn off the fan, the idle goes rough and die on me again.
Does anybody has any experience with this? or is there any thoughts you can advise me.
Thanks for any help

There's an idle adjustment screw on top of the intake plenum. You may have something loose between the air flow meter and the throttle body. If there are any leaks between the air flow meter and TB you'll have a rough idle, and it could stall.

you know what i just found out? not only do the fan to help my idle to be normal, headlights also helps. So either the headlight or the fan has to be on, or the idle will die out......
Is it something electrical?

because when you turn on the heater, lights etc the bac vavle bumps up the idle to compensate. what rpm is the car idling at when it's on and when it's off?
the air temp sensor you need to replace might have something to do with it too.

the idle speed when i have fan and light on was about 700rpm, as soon as i turn them off, the rpm drop down to 300 or so, and soon it will die out.
I am going to replace the Thermo Sensor tomorrow, i will post what happen afterwords.
So Scott 89t2, you think I should adjust the idle higher? won't it make it too high when i turn the accessories on?
thanks
