weird cooling problems

well i got home from work and parked my car in front of my driveway on the street.. since i cant park there overnight i had to move it.. so since u cant start and just move the car.. i warmed the car up and went for a nice drive.. (drove the car hard btw)

anyways.. since i had cooling problems earlier i had filled the coolant up a lil bit... well that seemed just fine and the car didnt screw around with the thermo gauge..

anyways....

so iam driving the car all over the place and kept a close watch on the thermo gauge and it stayed normal .... when i got home and parked the right... i could hear the coolant bubbling... i was like wtf.. and looked to the gauge and it was 3/4 up... damnit wtf now?

so i wait for the needle to go back down to normal agian and shut the car down... i walk to the front of the car and notice coolant had came out.. not a shitload but i would say maybe like soda can sized amount....

it came out of the overflow... so iam gonna scratching my head at the moment...

iam going to mazda 2morrow to pick up a Thermostat(only 15.90)...

and plan on flushing the system and changing that biatch...

anything else i need besides the thermostat?

and any idea wtf is causing my weird cooling problem?

i mean its scaring the **** outta me... since i need to save money until i can swap in a new engine.. but until then i need this car to work and it runs real well...just this cooling problem gots me down...

Im having cooling problems also, whenever i drive hard, after i slow it down, the gauge is about 3/4 way up... this is not good. I ordered the mazda thermostat from mazdatrix, and it was also recommended to me to replace the radiator cap, so i have that on order also. Before i installed a cheap autozone thermostat, the car would warm up to about 1/2 way and stay there.... there was no thermostat installed at the time. after i put the cheap one in, it stays cool till i drive hard, then goes up.... i think i may go outside and try to bleed the radiator again though. and my coolant mixture may be a little off, but i tried to get it about 75% coolant to 25% water..... but right now i cant really worry about it, even though its bothering me.... instead i have to figure out whats wrong with my electrical system......

Replace your thermostats and caps with MAZDA only. And then PRAY your water seals are intact.

Do a search for the water seal check.

well i got the thermostat and radiator cap.. mazda oem of course...

but anyways... i drove the car agian.. this time i saw the needle climb up to a little less than 3/4 but it went back down..

my question is tho... my overflow bottle is like almost full with the coolant... so i was like whoa... hmm.. i dont think my seals are shot since i dont smell coolant burning or anything...

but i wanna change the stuff this weekend but i need to get a new radiator first..
