weird *** idle

my car idles great sometimes rock solid at 750, but i can watch it slowly start bouncing up to as bad as about 250-1000 rps trying to stall out. its usually real irratic like that, but im not sure why.
ive adjested tps timing and a/f mix at idle and its still bouncy below 1500. so wtf?
any ideas?

is your A/C on? Have you checked your BAC valve?

It controls the idle...especially when you're using your accessories.

How do you check your BAC valve, and how do you go about repairing it? Mine is a little sketchy as well

You use a DMM (digital multi-meter) to check the resistance (specs are in the FSM). Then use a 12-volt power supply to see if it clicks like it should.

If it doesn't click or it clicks weakly, take it off, take it apart, and clean it (or repair it otherwise).

Or that's what I've heard.

My idle is kind of inconsistent (varies between perfect, a little low, and a little high) so I'll probably check the BAC eventually, but not till I fix the hesistations...

what about the EGR? maybe its dirty too? Maybe the engine isn't receiving enough fuel? I'm really clueless, but i had a similar problem with my moms car (1996 Pontiac Grand Am SE) and i cleaned it and the "odd" "strange" idle disapeared... does an RX7 have an EGR valve?? I dunno, its just my expeience in general with weird idles. Maybe its the BAC, i dunno... just dont go to crazy...
