weight of rear diff?

weight of rear diff?

Does anyone know the weight of the rear diff...? How about a 1/2 shaft..? I am getting ready to ship these and would be helpfull to know the weights. I have doen a search but just keep getting what weight of oil and what not. So any help is appreaciated.

The rear diff weighs ~85 pounds. This is a S4 Clutch LSD w/ oil and mounts.



I imagine the half shafts are about 10 pounds... I don't have any extras laying around to check.

Disclaimer: I have no idea how accurate my Ikea bathroom scale is, I'd say the margin of error is +\- 100 lbs. (Err, 10 lbs.)

all i know is that it's F-ING heavy. I damn near threw my back out when i tried to get mine out of the trunk. Goddamn.
