Anyone speak the queen's English???

The weight of the 'vert is mostly in the extra support for the frame and the rear support mechanism for the body and convertible top.

In the series 5 cars you could always swap out the gas tank and dash board assembly with a series 4 versions, and save about 100 lbs.

Strip out the trunk of all the extras like plastic covers and carpet, and save another 10-20 lbs. Swap to a single cat back and save another 20lbs or so.

Or if you really wanted to shave off some weight, remove all the convertible top assembly. That’s about 300 lbs right there.

But whats the point... even stock the 'vert is faster than a 99 Miata.
