Best tool I own is a milwaukee 1/2"drive cordless impact. Does 450lb/ft trqe, I can break flywheel & front cover bolts off w/ ease.
I've made a hobby of going to the junkyards around here AS SOON as a car's parked, & I've gotten MANY good deals in doing so, because not only have I been the first one there to the car, but I'm also fully equiped to remove anything.
My best scores include:
10k mile use 13B housings & rotors, I mean MINT haha, for $100 for both housings & rotors.
very very near mint 12A housings, $13.50 each
T2 diff & axles, $100 for all
So yea, definitely recomend that if you're serious about these cars

knipex are the ****. i use them with my car audio/remote starters. great for cutting and stripping wires up to 0 gauge. but until you are used to them i would not recommend trying to strip smaller/important wires as they are very sharp and cut too easily sometimes... i can be a real PITA trying to solder hard to reach wires back together...

Random Tool Fetish Thread
Shouldn't this be moved to the lounge? It's really not a tech thread. There is no technical theme, it's more of a tool fanboi thread...

those are what i use for almost all my cutting and stripping, but like i said, until you are used to them dont go at important wires
i get mine at lowes(ive lost a few in customers cars, closing them in door panels and such...) but for some reason the lowes link wont work
