Watertank overfill

I'm looking for a FC in The Netherlands. I found a cheap one, but the engine has problems. Water is going into the wateroverfill tank(?). It's the tank wich is connected to the radiator.

You get a buzzer after only a couple of minutes, but other than that the engine seems to run fine.

Is it the waterseals in the engine or is it something easier/cheaper to fix?

What would be wrong and how can I test it?

Hi.

When the engine is cold, check that the coolant level is full. If after a couple of minutes enough water escaped through the overflow bottle that the buzzer went of 1) the radiator cap is malfunctioning and doesnt hold any pressure or 2) the water seals are very bad and a lot of exhaust gases come in the coolant system and build up the unwanted pressure!
So try to change the cap (about 10 Euros) - if the problem persists its a really bad engine problem. Else the buzzer wouldn go of after such a short time.

greetings,

Harry
