water thermosensor/temp sensor

water thermosensor/temp sensor

ok,

I just got my rtek7 ecu and i plugged it up, I hit the diagnostics button cuz before the install i had two codes 9 and 33.

9 being the water thermosensor which i got from mazdatrix and i replaced it.

Now when i hit the diagostics button code 33 was gone and 9 was still there but it said water temp sensor.

are they the same thing?

i know when i changed the sensor the plug was busted up a bit, but i made sure it was pushed onto the new sensor all the way.

could it be the wireing/clip causing the error code? can i just get a new clipand wire it up? if so where can i get one.

Should be the same thing. You need to take the voltage reading from the ECU pin w/key to on when the engine is cold and also warmed up and compare the readings to the spec numbers supplied in the Fuel and Emissions section of the FSM.
