Water temp up to 1/2

Sup guys?!?! I recently raced a '00 Nissan Maxima, and I noticed that when I was in forth gear going over 100mph, my Water Temp started to rise about 1/2 way, normally my water temp should be 1/4... After the race I started to slow down, and drive normal, and minutes later my water temp went back down to 1/4... Is it normal for the Water temp to rise in just 1 quarter-mile race??? Or theres something wrong with my car?? BTW, A week ago I had the add coolant light on, and I didn't noticed that my water temp went up to 1/2, and finally I had my radiator filled, and air bleed... I'm thinking maybe I blown my radiator seals or something.. Can you guys please help me out??? Thanx

Oh and BTW, I beat the '00 Nissan Maxima , but barely and I was suprised it caught up, but then I only have a stock shifter, and only running 10psi... And when I shifted to 4th gear I started to pull away more.. He probably thought that since my car is 20 years old that he can beat me, LOL.. ROTARY BABYYYY!!!!

or...

half way temperature is normal under hard driving... i wouldnt worry about it unless it kept creeping up... buy a new mazda thermostat, unplug lower radiator hose, fill it up with new coolant, take the neck off the engine that connects to the top radiator hose, and put in the new thermostat there... do not over tighten., use the smallest wrench and put light pressure on it. doesnt take much to make it seal.

Wow. You fail.

haha.

Why don't you check your thermostat and water pump. Then try a new CTS.

I wouldn't trust the stock guage anyways.

Maybe if your street race a MPV minivan it'll fix your cars problem.

Your car must suck HORRIBLY if you are bragging about beating a maxima.

lololololol.

Yeah, it's normal. My S4 (N/A) sits right on or above the bottom line and will go up to 1/2 way under hard driving.

Oh, and you guys are asses for tricking the newb.

You might as well replace your muffler bearing and top off you turn signal fluid. Yea check your thermostat that isnt too bad but my gxl always was like a 1/4 of the gauge but my turbo is less than a half too more like 1/3. 1/2 if i am running it hard. The turbo also has that little stock electric fan if that helps though.

I was checking the specs on the Maxima, and it has a 255hp 3.5_liter V6 engine... thats pretty powerful compare to my lightly moded FC, I only have 186WHP, thats only around 215bhp, not only that his was automatic, and I have a Stock shifter, and need new bushings.. You guys know how stock shifter on the FCs are?? And BTW, sorry I don't really know that much about Rotary, cause I just bought that car 2 months ago... BTW thanx again for the info, I'm gonna check into that..
