Water temp gauge install ques

i just bought a water temp gauge and did some searching and from what iv'e read using the upper radiator hose adapter isn't very accurate, i don't wanna tap the water pump, I found this for the rx8 and was wondering if i can use this on my s4? says it can be installed on the heater hose.

I've read that the heater hose isn't very accurate (correct me if I'm wrong, it might have been an fd thread). I'm about to install an water temperature gauge too. I decided to tap the thermostat housing because I have to replace the thermostat anyway. While this after the thermostat my stock gauge still works.

Yes, that would work on any car given that the car has hoses carrying coolant that are just a tad smaller in diameter than the nipples on that adapter.

Just realize that you are paying for a flashy blue anodized piece of aluminum with the Racing Beat logo, not the adapter itself. For less than $5.00 in parts at home depot you could make the same exact thing.

Hint: Make sure you ground the sensor (for electrical gauge use) if you are installing it in a hose fixture like the RB unit.

Why not just install your new sender in the stock location?

Why would this not be the first choice?

So do they sell those things at home depot? I've never came accrossed one. I've also never looked for one either. If someone does find one, pls post pics and UPC or part number or whatever.

Anyone have ideas for mounting? Or would that be completely unneccessary??

cheap ghetto bastards lol
just take the time to tap the waterpump housing.. and never have doubts about inaccurate temps and guessing.. The temps are gonna be different if reading from a hose source compared to actually being on an engine component right next to the thermostat.
