water temp gauge install help

Ok, i have a greddy peak hold water temp gauge i am trying to install. I am having some trouble finding where the water temp sensor goes. I was todl i can jsut replace the stock one with teh greddy one because the tghreads match up. I know that the stock water temp sensor is supposedly under the oil filter. Is it the sensor with the yellow wire? If it is, which i think it is. How the hell do i remove that sensor it's at an extremely funny angle, i beleive it is a 12 mm but i am not positive. Can somebody help me out. I'm getting a little frustrated with it.

Get a y pipe and screw it into the stock location, then put each sensor in the other end of the Y. Or tap the cooling system in another place and put the new sensor there. Thats the proper way to do it... Forget what size the head on the sensor is.. sorry.

Have you tried using an open ended wrench or a deep socket?

dude dont even mess with taking the stock sensor out of the block. get a piece of metal piping the same size as the main hose coming from the filler neck to the radiator, tap the metal piping for the greddy sensor, cut the hose in half get 2 hose clamps and put the pipe in the coolant hose like it is a piece of the hose i know this is a messed up description but it will work perfectly, do a search and you will find pictures of what i am talking about.

Having the stock one as a back up isnt a bad idea. Plus it makes the car look like a pile if the gauges arent working.... IMO anyways.
