This week I replaced my water pump. I replaced the gasket where the pump housing meets the block as well as the gasket for the bearing housing. I also applied RTV to both gaskets before installation.

The new pump is leaking from one of the top bolts now. I used the tightening sequence specified in the Haynes manual (although the description seemed to be for an S4).

The previous water pump was leaking from the weep hole, this one is not. Also, it started leaking when I was refilling the system and continued to leak after starting the car.

Any ideas?
