Water Pump Bolt Question

I broke the head off of one of the bolts that bolts the water pump to the housing (S5) and I am going to go to the hardware store and get a replacement. I forgot to grab the bolt this morning, and by the time I get home tonight it will be too late for me to grab it and size it. Would anyone happen to know what the stock dimensions are for a replacement? This is not the one that goes all the way through, just from the pump to the housing. I know it is 12mm head, but is it like an M8? Anything else I should know about the replacement as well?

Thanks in advance.
