Water injection.Intercooler question.

I am wondering if you Spray with Water At the Turbo and it needs to go through the Intercooler and Up to the Throttle body,Will the water accumulate at the Bottom of the intercooler.?Would you need a Drain on the IC??.(like a Rad?).

I've been looking into aux. injection myself, and from what I've read you shouldn't get water buildup unless a) your injector size is too big, or b) you're spraying much sooner than you should be. If you're talking about spraying pre-turbo, you'll have to be using a tiny injector anyway to prevent compressor erosion anyhow.

you can inject either before or after the turbo, some swear by injecting before the turbo but i have always injected it at the throttle body to keep the water more in a liquid form as it enters the engine but there is no hard proof which is better as of yet.

just don't turn the aux injection on before the turbo is spooling up a few PSI, it will help to atomize the water as it goes through. don't worry about water pooling up in the IC..

i prefer after the turbo because i'm not a huge fan of spraying water onto a steel fan blade spinning at 200,000 RPMs even if i doubt it will corrode.
