i have a 1990 turbo rx7. turbo is pushing 10 lbs currently with intake and rb turbo back exhaust. im getting a stock turbo rebuild, how much do i port out the wastegate? thanks..

I was under the impression that the '89 up turbos have the two wastegate passages and don't require porting. I have an '87 and ported out the single passage with a pneumatic rotory grinder when the turbo was out of the car anyways, easy. I did it big and made a new flapper seal to cover the hole; works great!

 

I agree!.. GTX turbos have a dual oriffice and dont need to be ported.
