waste gate spring question

going with an external waste gate and want to know if my plan is to run 14lbs of boost do i need a 14lb spring?

Not necessarily, but it could make things easier. You might want to use a 10psi or 12psi spring and then add a boost controller. A google search could probably help you though, this isn't rotary specific.
