warning lights not working?

Just a quick question... Are all the warning light supposed
to come on when the key is turned on?
its a 1990 rx7.
I have had 86's
and a TII 88 and all the warning lights come on in
the older cars that i have had,, but this 1990 there
isnt one light in the warning light cluster that light
when the key is turned on..
what up with this thing?

matt
ps. just got the car with a blown motor (i think)
so i cant say if the lights some on when the car is
running or not

yes they are suppose to turn on..

check your cpu..beside the fuse box and kick panel. open that sucker up and see if it needs resoldering...

It's either broken solder joints in the idiot light cluster or in the CPU. Very common problem.

I don't think I've ever seen, at least in the last 5 years, a warning light cluster that works without having been resolderd.

i didnt think the warning light cluster was that much
of a problem in the newer rx7's 1989 and up.
