Warning Buzzer Disconnection in FC
#28
Mine turned itself off, damn rx-7 electrical systems.
Well actually it doesn't work at redline or with the alarm sometimes, thats the only malfunction. I do watch the tach though so i'm not overrevving all the time.

I have a question. Not to hijack or anything. Is it possible to disconnect the buzzer and hook up warnng lights instead? Like the tach I have has a shift light on it, and then getting two of those liitle pen warning lights but in different colors so I know what represent? That way I dont have to hear the buzzer but I am not without my warning system??

That's the "Everything is OK alarm". It sounds continuously as long as everything is still OK.
But yes, you could actually do this. Remove the buzzer from the instrument cluster board and replace it with a relay. Connect the relay coil in place of the previous buzzer. Connect the common terminal in the relay to 12V, and the normally closed contact to the buzzer. Ground the other side of the buzzer. Now the operation of the buzzer is inverted.
(My useless post for the month).

Blinding . Each one is roughly equal to your all dome lights, or 30-40 times more light than your stand super-ultra bright LED. I think they also have green for the always on approach. Okay, time for me to cut back on useless posts.

Have you checked your coolant?
Are you redlining all the time?
I hope you aren't removing it just because it's annoying. You should find out what is making it go off. It's annoying for a reason.
As for where it's located, check the FSM.

only an absolute idiot would remove the buzzer.
It indicates that you have exceeded redline (bad)
Or
That you have low coolant (very bad-and the water temp gauge won't show when you pop a hose because there won't be any water for the sensor to read)
Or
You have low oil (the worst- as the oil pressure gauge won't show when you pop a hose or get a major oil leak until the oil foams and losses pressure (about 3 quarts too late).
The buzzer is there for a reason. It is to prevent you from damaging the car. Again only an idiot that didn't care about his or her motor or car would remove or disable it.

You know, I've never heard this buzzer you all speak of. I've heard OF it, but never heard it. I've only revved my car out to about 6750rpm 3 times.
Just a little fun fact on me. Coincidentally, I'm pretty bored.
