Warning Buzzer Disconnection in FC
How Do I Disable The Warning Buzzer?
How do I disconnect the buzzer. It's next to the tachometer but wonder if I could just disconnect something to keep it quiet. If not, how do I get at it, from
the front or bottom.
the front or bottom.
Im not sure about the "buzzer"
because i bought mine from a field and it needs a rebuild.
BUT the only buzzing noise i hear is coming from under my headlight i think its my headlight motor, and the only way to get at it is taking off your intake/front bumper.
IF thats not it, sorry for posting ****.

It's behind the cluster, remove all the screws then reach behind it and disconect both connectors and the speedo cable. Once all 3 are unpluged the cluster should come right out.
I hate these threads...... The buzzer is there for a reason.... It goes off at redline, or when there's a problem. If there's a problem, FIX THE PROBLEM!
The ONLY reason I could even POSSIBLY fathom to remove the buzzer is that its annoying at redline... and even then... think of it as a shift buzzer... but chances are your car doesn't make any power at redline.

I hate the sound of that buzzer i removed my guage cluster and pulled it out..never been happier. As long as my oil pressure and water temp's are good i know my engines not going to blow. After 20 some years the sound of that thing was like someone choking a bird ehh .
only an absolute idiot would remove the buzzer.
It indicates that you have exceeded redline (bad)
Or
That you have low coolant (very bad-and the water temp gauge won't show when you pop a hose because there won't be any water for the sensor to read)
Or
You have low oil (the worst- as the oil pressure gauge won't show when you pop a hose or get a major oil leak until the oil foams and losses pressure (about 3 quarts too late).
The buzzer is there for a reason. It is to prevent you from damaging the car. Again only an idiot that didn't care about his or her motor or car would remove or disable it.

Such harsh word's man...
Well the cars been parted out a long time ago...It was mainly for test and tunes here at famoso..I know i shouldnt be telling peeps that..So dont listen to me!!..We checked everything every day car ran strong for 10k miles before it was parted.
Its behind the gauge cluster. Remove the gauge cluster, ... get out your soldering iron.. and desolder it.
Intelligent people know that the buzzer is a good thing to have and would probably agree with my post.
i cant believe this even got 18 posts. i believe its even in the FAQ's....no im positive it is. geez. and to think some people actually have more serious problems on here that go un answered...not me in general. or at all.
well icemark..lets just say an individual like'd to party and he was still intelligent. now thats a conundrum.
i think if someone is retarded and likes to rev high b/c there *** dyno says there still pulling. then well let them be ***'s

The warning buzzer will tell you about a sudden oil or coolant loss well before the gauges will and before any damage can be done. Even if you check your oil and water before every drive (and I bet you don't), it's entirely possible to spring a leak while driving. Most of the oil or water can be gone before you see the gauges react, and that's assuming you're watching the gauges instead of the road...
If the warning buzzer is on often enough to annoy you, you're must be frequently over-revving the engine or driving around with low oil or coolant. Do you think engine failure might be more annoying?

I still can't belive that anyone would want to remove the buzzer. When I blew my coolant hose, the buzzer was the first thing I heard and I immediately shut the car down. Rotaries overheat quickly if something goes whack in the cooling system. I broke my waterpump/fan belt a while back and the car didn't hesitate to overheat within about 20 seconds. Leave the buzzer in for your own protection. It's there for a reason, and will probably save your *** sometime in its lifetime. Like its been said, if the buzzer is going off constantly, it's because something is going wrong, or you're just a dumbass and think that constantly redlining your car is a necessity.
Isnt it funny how someone edited out all my posts...Just goes to show that some people cant man up when there an *** and apologize for it...you must be right it must be an ego trip.
Ya know i really dont know why i give a ****.....its not like i was telling people to do something stupid. I just STATED what i did for the 30sec the car was to be driven at a time...ok. I promise ill leave this crap alone now..

I don't think they were edited out.... I think the server lost the posts... because I posted a rather non-offensive one that isn't showing up.
And if they were edited out.. That was pretty faggy man.

I was referring to your comments though. He just beat me to it... and I didn't get a chance to edit.
