Warning Buzzer

My warning buzzer is going off for no particular reason right now, and it's really pissing me off. Can someone tell me what could be wrong with it please? Any help is appreciated

Come on now help the man & don't be an *** about it.

And no there isn't 5 million reasons of the warning buzzer.

It has 3 functions....

-low oil
-over rev
-low coolant

Do any dummy lights come on when the buzzer is going off?

Check oil & coolant levels.

tell us WHEN its going off too....

oil- low oil will set it off
rev - going redline will set it off (very annoying)
coolant - if going on turns or on a hill coolant swishing around in the bottle will give a false LOW reading and set it off

Im not sure about that coolant reason you gave. On my 88 it has a sensor IN the radiator checking the water level. If it gets low enough to not have any water on the sensor, it wont make a ground which will cause the buzzer to go off.

Not a low coolant in the overflow bottle as it sounds like you are describing.

ok i i didnt mean the sensor was in the bottle ... sorry terrible wording on my part... but if my car is on an incline or hard turning and i mean hard it will set off the coolant light when even the bottle and rad are full to the brim... there have been several post over the years about it, i remember reading about it when mine did it on an incline a while back

Are you absolutely sure it wasn't the oil light that came on? Because the coolant warning system has a 10-15 second delay before the light and buzzer are activated, whereas the oil warning will trigger the instant the float drops. You'd need to be going around a very long corner to trigger the coolant light. Also, given the shape of the radiator, it's very hard to see how with a full radiator the sensor in the middle of the tank could be uncovered just from cornering forces.

I've let the oil level drop a bit low a couple of times (yeah yeah, I know...) and had the light flash during hard left turns. I'd only see this out of the corner of my eye, and by the time I'd looked directly at it it'd gone out.

I finally figured out what it was. It was my oil low warning buzzer.

I checked my oil 2 weeks ago was the thing.

...Blah...

In the case of a sudden oil or coolant line failure, you're going to lose all of your oil or coolant very fast. There's a very real chance you will not see the warning light, but you will definitely hear the buzzer. Why wouldn't you want something that might save your engine?

i have 2 buzzers i cant get rid of
the fan light on the water temp guage comes on and 15 seconds later the louder buzzer comes on.
The rad is full
would a air bubble in teh coolant system cause the buzzer?
I have been told that if the temp sensor wire is broken at some point in the harness that the buzzer will automattically go off.
so im trying to find the buzzer its self or the related receiving unit so that i can run a new wire.

The other buzzer is the door buzzer.
I have cleaned the contacts and they still go off.
I cant find this buzzer either.
Can somepne please help.

Yes an air bubble in the system could caus that. Bleed the system of air as per the FSM's instructions. If that doesn't work you may have a faulty warning system. Instructions for testing it are also in the FSM.

There is no "door buzzer", but there is a beeper in the CPU that warns you if the headlights are on or the key's in the ignition when you open the door.
