Want to swap TII but have a simple question

well i have an S5 NA Automatic... i wanna go TII and iam gonna swap to 5 Speed before i do that..

i got a simple question...

After iam done with my 5speed swap.. will i have problems dropping in the TII? Since its not a factory 5 Speed and its gonna be converted to 5 Speed...

I don't think so.

The bell housings on the auto and manual are the same bolt patterns.

However,

The tII trannies are different then the N/A's in that they're more sturdy and beefy, if memory serves.

So if you're going to swap to five speed you might consider finding out the differences between the tII trannys and N/a's for your application.

It would really suck to blow your N/a 5 speed tranny shortly after install.

But then again I don't know for sure. Because you can super charge N/a's and I don't think they swap out stronger trannys for this....

He has an NA auto tranny. The NA tranny might not hold up very well with a turbo motor but the fact that you have an auto makes it even worse. There are countless threads about auto tranny failures. It would be a waste any IMO to have an auto TII. Not sure about fitment issues though.
