Walbro or stock

So my fuel pump just went out and I need a new one. I've heard that getting a Walbro is bad if you're not heavily modded but a stock pump is more expensive than a 255.

I'm running a true CAI, cat back, no pre cats or main cat, and I'm going to streetport and rebuild my engine next month. it's an NA. Best pump for me?

Also, has anyone seen the DIY-RE 13B video that's advertised here? If so how is it? I'm going to rebuild my own engine but I've never done a rotary before. I have experience rebuilding piston engines but never a Seven, if not what other videos are good?

Sorry for long post.

id probably just use the stock pump for a NA, find a used stock pump, walbro will probably make things too rich and hurt your gas milage a bit...

You'd need a pressure regulator with a Walbro. Considering your N/A and your not seeing any boost, yet, I would recommend to stay stock. N/A's run rich from the factory anyways.

Ive got a stock FD pump up on auction for a 0.01 . Its weaker than a walbro but stronger than a stock fc pump. If you do the walbro I don't think that you PD will handle it. Here's the link.

Any High Pressure - Pressure regulator will work. Goto your local speed shop and ask for an EFI Pressure Regulator.

If your not running boost, I dont see a point in upgrading. It will most likely cause more problems than you care to chase.

Rebuild video's?

There are two that people typically use. The Atkins video can be found at: atkinsrotary.com, the Rotary Aviation video can be found at rotaryaviation.com

I bought the Atkins video before doing my first rebuild and I would say that it was the most important "tool" in my rebuild experience. The hardest part for a "first-timer" would probably be the re-install of the motor. There's a lot you can do though to ease your rebuild experience. Good tools, good lighting, a clean work area and meticulous labeling. The actual rebuild itself is pretty easy, just take it as SLOW as possible and don't cut ANY corners.

Finding a replacement stock pump will be probably be cheaper than getting a Walbro to work properly on your car (i.e. not reducing performance due to overly rich mixtures). Even a Turbo pump (the mildest upgrade easily available) would not be recommended for you.

Look for a used one.
Check out the For Sale section in here, or else peruse eBay; they come up for sale pretty regularly.
Everything else is overkill, and a waste of time and money.
The stock FC NA fuel pump is good for 200 at the wheels easily.
