Walbro 255lph electrical issue
i installed a walbro 255lph fuel pump, made sure i wired it right... and the first few times i cycled it it worked as usual. on maybe the 4th time i cycled the pump, the fuel pump relay buzzed instead of the pump pumping. everytime hereafter the relay just buzzes when i turn the key on. so i traced wires, did some multimetering which showed the fuel pump + wire (blue) under the dash was grounded (this could explain why my relay got fried). so i unplugged the pump, pulled it and discovered this=
on the pump itself, the multimeter shows 0 resistance across the + and - terminals. i tested various electrical objects around the house (microwave, power drill, etc) and they all showed the full (1) resistance across their terminals. the pump shows 0.
if someone has a walbro pump sitting out can you please test it and see if this is normal?
sorry this was so wordy, just trying to avoid silly questions like are you sure the battery's plugged in blah blah
