walbro 255? or not

so i was told i that this project car i got had a walbro 255 but i dont trust the sellers word a bit, so i pulled the pump to get some numbers off it, and if it was a 255 then i would run the parallel fuel system

so it has the walbro decal on it, numbers are GSS 341
27106-1
PAT 4500270 5421306

i got some pics too:

walbros have a risky failure rate, my buddies have gone through a few and i know a few tuner shops who do not recommend them, but for the price i can understand the temptations.
