turns over about 20 times before starts, happens a couple times before it will run, backfires while warming up. once at idle, and is warm all is well...any suggestions.
also, computer reads water thermo sensor is bad but is brand new..please please please help me, want to go fast!!

Yes, I've had that problem before, long, long time ago. Cracked connector at the sensor caused cranking times to take two or three times as long to start.

a cracked connector is just what is was ... starts & runs strong with some pop pop in the exhaust. any thoughts on the pop pop out the rear would be a great help.
