Visual difference between t2 parts & nont2

Tried search, didn't get what I needed.
I'm going to look at a roller that supposedly has a t2 trans and rearend, raciing beat suspunsion and other parts. How can I tell the difference between the t2 and non-t2 parts? I'd hate to buy it hoping to sell the parts so I could break even on the purchase of the shell, just to find out they were either non-t2 parts or that they were no good. Is there any way to tell if they are any good on a roller? The engine doesn't run, the guy thinks it has blown the apex seals.
Thanks a lot.

The center of the TII tranny looks like the below picture.

Cool, thanks. I'm kinda new, though, so I wondering what the non-t2 trans looks like. Is it clearly different, or are they sorta close and need a real close look to tell the difference?

look for the turbo, thats how you know its a t2. just teasin.

yea that picture nailed it. make sure to check the brake calipers(GXLs and GTU's came with them too). look for 4 piston brakes on the front. if its stock they will be read with a mazda emblem. if they are off the car, they are super light.

The car is a GXL. He says he swapped a lot of t2 stuff onto it, like the trans, rearend, brakes and hood. Is there any difference in the chassis itself, or are the differences mainly in the parts?

Yeah. The chassis is the same the parts are different. You need a TII drive shaft if you have a TII diff and trans. The TII had larger sway bars also.

No, it doesn't.
All sway bars are the same, except for "base models".
All Turbo II, GXL, Convertible models all come with the same sway bar.
