Violent shaking upon loss of traction?

OK, so if I try to any anything of questional usefulness (read: stupid) like a burnout or powerbraking (yes, to impress women), my car shakes pretty violently.

Is it just becasue I have sticky tires and not a lot of power?
Yokohama AVS ES100's in stock size on an NA car with only a few mods (t2 rotor housings, t2 intermediate housing, ported intake manifold, full RB exhaust and high flow cat).
Stock clutch disc but slightly stiffer plate... the one Mazdatrix sells.

I replaced my motor mounts with competition ones, and I replaced the cheap transmission mounts (the little square ones). Any chance it'll go away if I change the expensive transmission mount and/or differential mounts?

If you dont have enough power to break away smoothly, the tires will lose an regain traction causing the wheels to skip or hop along as the grip and slip. Either more power or a better susupension set up.

... women are impressed by the conversion of rubber into smoke? I guess I hang with a different group of people.

It sounds like wheel hop to me. Try doing some burnouts on wet pavement (less traction). I know that if I launch hard, I get wheel hop (S4 NA).

Also, doing burnouts & such with wheel hop isn't good for *anything* related to the drivetrain. It's hard on the suspension, differential, transmission, engine/transmission/differenetial mounts, etc.

check your rear struts, if they are leaking then it can contribute to wheel hop greatly, my left rear shock is blown and my left rear hops like crazy and should go away when i put in the new struts.

Yea, sounds like blown or really weak struts. Get new struts and solid diff. mounts and get drift happy in front of the ladies.
