very strange problem with the timing

Hi all,

It's been 2 day now i spend to try to find an answer to my timing problem

I have align the yellow dot with the leading 1 plug. thats good. Now i would like to check the T1 plug to see it the red dot will align. None of the red or the yellow one appear when I plug my timing litht on it. So just for fun, i plug my timing light to the T2 wire and The red dot is align ?????

i'm sure that the T1 is plugged to the front rotor and the T2 to the rear.

How this can be possible ?

I have searched thru many thread and cannot find the answer. Something tell me that the timing is not correct since the car have no power and i hear piging in when i rev it. Metal on metal song

Does the car run better if you unplug the trailing coil?

I don't ear any piging sond with the trailing wire (high tension) disconnected.

What this mean ? bad trailing coil ?

Reverse the trailing plug wires. If the car runs right, more than likely your CAS is off. I had the same problem a few weeks ago with the trailing order being reversed. Re-stabbing the CAS solved that problem.

To be honest, I don't know. Only explanation I could think of in my situation is that the previous owner installed the CAS incorrectly. Re-installing the CAS per the FSM solved that problem and the trailings fired in the proper order again.

Did you try reversing the wires?

I found it.

the last owner have mixed up the small caps on the trailing coil pack. So the T1 is in realyti T2.

SO this is why when i changed the spirk plug and reconnect the wire i get it in the wrong place. Now it's run very well.

thans again to have help me out on that one !
