very slow rx7

i went to the track to lay some base lines in my se 88 rx7 to my suprise a 17.0 quartemile after 4 times of tryin different launches i gave up ,,, it felt like i had no top end after 5k to begining of red hollabac with some ideas my car should be running 15.5 thanx

It's an NA RX-7; don't expect it to be super fast. Since when did S4 NA's run mid 15's? On it's best day in 1988, it should run about a second slower than that - at best. Do you have any mods done? It might help a little to do a 60k tuneup. 17 seconds doesn't surprise me too much if your car is stock.

Are your aux ports opening?

I bet they're not if you have a different exhaust on there.

your aux ports are nor opening, i guarantee it!
the aux ports on your year car open due to back pressure in the exhaust, if you removed the tube that connect to the stock cat, then there yah go.

Or save the money and take the retarded sleeves out. Or hook a rubber tube and a valve to your air pump.
