vert top issues

vert top issues

Last night I put the top down on my 88 vert. Then I went back outside a fer hours later to put it up and no such luck. The motors arent even making any kind of sound. Im clue less Please help.

Check the terminals on the switch itself. I had the same problem

There is a jumper under the hood next to the boost/ vac sensor on the passengers shock tower.

There will be an ignition wire and the up & down wires.

Check that you have voltage there. If you do, you can just close (or open) the roof by jumping the wires. Make sure you remove your jumper when you are done.

That will also tell you if the problem is with the motors, voltage, or switch.

Ive tried everything. Still no luck. Now I just want to know how to get the top up with out using power.

I let it set for a while and went back outside and it started to work. But it went up half way and stoped. Although it will go down but in wont go up. I dont know what to do now or what to look for. Can someone please help me I dont want my car to get rained on. Thanx

You could let it sit while it's up halfway then try again. Btw, does it beep when you turn the ****? If it does then you should check to make sure your E-brake is up and your car is in neutral. It won't move if it's in drive!

I finaly got the top up. When it wasnt working there wasnt anything no beep no nonthing. And it was in nutral with the e brake on. I still dont know what the problem was.
