I went to the site and looked at the pic, and I agree, it's kinda ugly. But then I looked at the choice of colors and they do offer a Dark Tan, but no picture of the color. You might what to contact them and see if they can e-mail a pic of the dark tan top - might be closer to what you want. BTW, I ordered a top a couple of days ago from these same folks, my choice was easy, I have a black top now and I'm sticking with it.

I have top of the line canvas.

You do not need two sided like the cheep euro (MB, Porsche) cars have since the 7 has an inner liner.

Bah, my inner liner is probably close to ruined now...actually I know it is...if the little cut on the outside of the top didn't already let the inside of it rot, the cut on the passenger side that goes all the way through the inner liner did ruin it

oh...ummm...just realized (about 40 minutes after first posting) that I forgot to post an opinion. I don't think a tan top would look good on anything but a black RX, and it would have to be that darker one...I'm personally wanting a white top for my white car, but I hate white cars so I'm going to paint it so a white top for a white car that will no longer be white is kinda useless isn't it?

tan =

black is the universal color, do that

Let me know what think of quality and fitment btw, I need a new top as well and this price seems fairly reasonable.

not on a black car, but if the car had a color to match the tan top, that would definately be unique. but if the seats are tan...dunno? im surprised to see that though, never seen a tan top b4.

heres a pic of my vert.

The one on the site is too light for sure. However, I think a darker tan top will look much better than that one -- and better than the black, particuarly with your tan FD seats.

I always liked the black Miata with the tan top and interior. In fact, if you look at the Miata tops on the web site you'll see a tan one that looks very nice. But, you'll also want a tan boot, and I didn't see that they sell one to fit the vert. So maybe you need to get black after all!

Depending on the color, the dark tan could look cool. It will definitely be different than the typical black top. Can't go wrong with the black though, so it depends on what look you're going for.

I say if your car is green or blk, Tan looks good. If you got tan FD seats already and your car's dark, no brainer. By the way, was FD seat into FC hard? Rail modification? I'm planning to do the same once i can get a recaro for my FD

caccky = khaki :-)

sounds cool though -- I kind of like the light colored interiors -- makes it look more classy or something. If done tastefully and not "overdone" it should look very good.

Nice, I think it'd look better in a darker color though. Sry to sound like a broken record .

I would go with black, but you would have the only RX-7 with a tan top. Can't get much more unique!

finally got the tan seats all the way in and drove it around.....basically if your not sitting on fds you are missing out..they are so much more comfy than the old vert seats..even the ones i had with new cushions and leather on them just dont compare to the way the fd seats fit you when you drive..if you get the chance buy some and you will not regret it..soon im selling the newly leathered black vert seats..without hesitation..im never going back!! the atmosphere inside the vert is much much better now..cant wait to get the other tan/ black stuff integrated tastefully to polish it off.

dont spend another dollar until you put fd seats in your vert...unbeleivable!!

Tan boot cover to match tan top?
There are a few black euro cars with tan tops running around here in Honolulu.

14 days downwind from LA.

Did all FDs have leather seats? Wouldn't mind this swap, but really thinking about switching to cloth seats...
