Question Vert for 10th AE

Okay, guys, I got a ? and a matter of opinion to assault.

I have found a dealership near me that has an '88 10th AE that they had no intentions of selling...here's the catch. They said they'll trade me for my Vert, as soon as I get it fixed...so here's the question....how hard is it to get a hold of a Vert with the 5-speed, I don't want a ATX, I hate the damn things. I am asking, b/c I am seriously considering this exchange, but I want my vert so damn bad it isn't funny....

Hell with that, join the ranks of 10th AE owners...

Look at this, a NON running one sold for $2700.

Crazy...

I love my vert like crazy, but I would trade for a TII of any year in comprable condition. I have put alot of time and money into my car, rebuilt engine, many mods..... I don't know.... it's a tough question.

You can make a 'Vert fast, but it's a bitch to put the top down on the coupe.
NO CONTEST, keep the 'Vert!

Good call, I agree. I say keep the vert and drop a TII motor in there. Or get some nitrous or something. There's nothing like droppin the top when its warm.

Thanks for the opinions guys...now for the other question...how common are the verts with the 5-speed? That's the real kicker here...if it's fairly easy to get ahold of the verts, I'll drop the vert for the AE and then in a few months, find me another vert. I've got another car that I will be able to sell (Once I put all the speakers back in, and then replace the radio...and then put the interior back together) when I go to get another vert, so how hard is it to get ahold of them??? Anyone have the numbers made? S5 preferable.

easier to find a 'vert in winter than spring or summer.. so you may need to wait until next winter to find a good one.

Sorry to burst your bubble but the 10AE is bloated like every other TII. I wish they would have sent over the GT model (was a base model 7 with a turbo engine, way lighter). And I dont find AE's to be that rare. I see them more than normal s4 or s5 turbo iis (combined!)

Ahh.... the 10thAE was only about 40 lbs lighter than a 88-89 vert.
