I love drifting in my vert, I do it top-down too. I live in NC so it's not like I'm really ******* it some mountains so the chances I'll flip are probably nil (It's like the lowest car I've ever sat in!) My car is horribly stock but I still love swinging it around (I LOVE THE HANDLING!) One time when I was in raleigh this guy tried to show me how to drift in his (cough) STOCK (cough) Civic. I sayd, "watch this" and I proceeded to tear *** down a local mall's elevated parking lot. I thought the guy was going to crap his pants. I don't know if this helped any but I think my car rocks when it comes to drifting.

Sounds like the guy was an idiot, since you cant "Drift" a front wheel drive car. I cant wait to feel a drift with my LSD installed

hey hey!
no need to sterotype!
Hey walter whats your trip? I have a vert and a coupe. Actually Ive destoryed one coupe already at the tracks.
I refuse to listen to anyone who I either havent seen drive better than I or doesnt have one of my friends who can drive vouch for them. I havent tried to slide my vert and I sure as hell am not going to find out. But I already know my vert with jacked up suspension handles as well as my 86 coupe that had the same suspension did. SO the handling question is out. The vert handles as well as a coupe unless you are really good enought to push a car 100% and keep it there.
The weight? Drifting? Have you seen any of the vip cars from JP? They are way freakin heavier than any FC could possibly be. Of course they have tons of power but an FC is perfectly capable. Jzz30,r34, chasers, laurels. Those are some heavy *** cars and I think the weight makees them more graceful. Alot smoother than the light as a feather hatchis.
There ya go!
Willing to deal with the hard to find vert body parts? If so you have a pretty damn unique vert
Also uras is promoting thier varetta s15 , vert. I sure thats spelled wrong.

im with sky here.. watch it on those stereotypes! you just wish you were in hawaii...
but when it comes to 'verts, i respect them but i most definitely prefer a clean coupe. with enough money one could build a great drift car with a 'vert.. FG/CF everything, good LSD, stiff coils, a good driver and a lotta power and the thing is sure to slide!
but hey sky im getting my FC in june.. i have been trying to find a rotary tuner/shop here and have had no luck whatsoever... you know of any?

no
interested in a fairly modded turbo?
A friend of mine kinda wants out of the car thing. I think hes askin 5k. It has my old kouki turbo on with a 'HKS' 46 compressor. Its not really hks but its the same wheel. I think it is an 87 with konig 18s and an AFC. Should be a pretty damn quick car. needsalittle time but it runs. should be able to put down 250 maybe 300 at the ground.
converted is the owner forum name.
No there are no shops here.
If you are really serious about an FC you must be willing to do all the work yourself. I can help you out, but I cant promise anything. Where do you live in Kailua?Oh and on the weight thing. I think, despite where everyone else stands, that it helps keep the car stable at higher speeds. The tossability of light cars is best, but I prefer watching the heavy cars. The are just soooo much smoother. Thier transitions are much more graceful. Hatchis and s1x are kinda bland.
FCs are twitchy as hell and transition very quickly. while the heavy cars transtion slow. I think the 86 and s1x are just in the middle. Kinda boring if you ask me.
One extreme or the other. Slow or quick.
