Vehicle weight

I just weighed my car, for those who are interested.

LHF 323, RHF 341
LHR 295, RHR 276

Total weight 1235kg

My car is an N/A which has a series 5 turbo motor, g/box, diff etc. Nothing has been done to reduce weight (yet), so i'm curious as to what other peoples weights are.

The metric system rules! I hated it back in school, but after living with it abroad I must say I prefer it. I weigh less. I'm taller. My car accelerates faster and has a higher top speed. It's all relative.

1 Kilograms equals 2.20462 Pounds

SO mdouble is looking at 2722 lbs, bcty is at 2491 lbs, and Nanaimo is 2337.

My T2 should weigh around 1300 kilograms...

Those are pretty light cars

For $6 I got mine weighed at a scrapyard. Total weight only, +/- 10# accuracy. If you are real particular (and prepared to spend more) then find a speed shop. Some will have cornerweight scales. Just call around. Try a Porsche or BMW speed shop. If they say they don't do it, ask them where because they should know. Tell them you drive a Porsche if you call a Porsche place. This might make the difference between them having one or not. Personal experience here. Not all shop owners are cool with all kinds of cars.

I get vehicles weighed at a local landscaping place (they sell gravel and such) for free. You just pull in and onto the scale, then when it stops fluctuating you leave. The weight readout is visible from the car. They don't mind as long as you're not plugging up their business. Accurate to within 5lbs.

If you really need to know corner weights and axle weights, a certified truck scale should be able to hook you up for less than $30. Considering its personal/hobby use, they might even cut you a deal.
